Practice Nurse Vacancy
Part Time Permanent Position (25 hours per week)
Band 5 – Band 6 (Dependent on experience and qualifications)
A post has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Practice team.
The successful candidate will be involved in providing a range of nursing care duties including wound care, health promotion and monitoring of long term conditions.
Applicants will be supported by senior nurses and will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients.
We welcome applications from nurses with varying levels of experience, from those looking to develop a career in practice nursing, to experienced practitioners seeking a new opportunity.
Personal and professional development is a high priority for all our staff, and we are committed to supporting training and career progression. We can also be flexible in terms of working hours.

Medication Review update.
We’re continuing to expand how we use Accurx to support patient care and will now be using it to help us review some medications.
This means we may contact you by text message with a secure link to check how you’re getting on with your medicines and to ask a few quick questions.
These are usually a mix of multiple-choice questions and questions where we ask for your thoughts and opinions. Your responses will go back to the requesting clinician.
It helps us review your treatment safely and saves you time, often without needing a phone call or appointment. Once you receive the link to the questionnaire, it will be valid for one week.

Dear Patients,
Demand for appointments continues to increase and Mondays are consistently our busiest day. Our GP triage system aims to prioritise patients who are unable to wait for a routine appointment by offering a review or response to your issue by a GP on the same day.
You can help us by only calling on a Monday if you feel your concern is clinically urgent and can’t safely wait until later in the week. We would request that all appointment and visit requests on a Monday be made prior to midday in order for us to safely plan this work. After midday we can only offer review of clinically urgent problems.
You can also help by remembering to cancel any appointments that are no longer needed so they can be offered to other patients.
