Private Medical Examinations

Certain times are set aside for performing private medical examinations.

A special appointment is always required, usually of 30 minutes duration.

ENG1 Medicals for Merchant Seamen

Marine and Coastguard Agency

Dr Beaven and Dr Fay are MCA (Marine and Coastguard Agency) approved medical examiners for merchant seamen.

Seamen attending for medicals are required to produce photographic proof of identity ( such as Passport or Discharge book) and should bring glasses/contact lens if used.

Other Medicals

LGV / PCV, Diving and Life Insurance medicals are provided by all the doctors.

  

 

At the request of NHS Orkney, Skerryvore Practice has agreed to take over management and clinical responsibility of Scapa Practice for 3 months commencing 3 March 2008 until a permanent arrangement is made. Whilst this transition is in progress, Skerryvore Practice is unable to accept new patients - Scapa Practice list remains open.
