Notes and Tips for
Alcohol Unit Reckoner

This Web script allows you to estimate how many units of alcohol you have consumed in a week.
We hope it helps you to keep your drinking within sensible safe limits.

Mid alcohol strengths are assumed:

Beer, Lager & Cider 3.5% ABV (One pint = 2 Units)
Strong Beer, Lager & Cider 9% ABV (One Pint = 5.2 Units)
Wine 11% ABV (One glass = 1.4 units)
Fortified Wine 18% ABV (One glass = 0.9 units)
Spirits 40% ABV (35ml = 1.4 Units)
Alcopops 5% ABV (330ml = 1.7 units)
